SoundHound, the music search and recognition service, has announced that users of its iOS app can access unlimited Live Lyrics, allowing users to see the lyrics on the screen of their device.

The SoundHound player, which is embedded within the SoundHound search app, has seen a high increase in usage over the last year, as more users use it to discover and share new music with friends.

Version 4.2 of the SoundHound app is available to download from the Apple App Store, and offers a range of features, including:

– Double Tapping on the lyrics to fast forward or rewind a track
– Built in two way integration with a user’s iTunes Library, which gives one tap access to iTunes songs from within SoundHound, as well as giving access to SoundHound’s database of biographies and videos.
– Sharing to Facebook and Twitter, allowing SoundHound users to share their current favourite tunes and artists with friends online

Recent figures from SoundHound show that the service has a database of over 50 million active users, with over 4 million music searches generated, every day.
